Tube Guards

·        The Lighting Filter shall be used in conjunction with all fluorescent lamps, which are installed in conventional fluorescent lighting fixtures.

·        The Lighting Filter shall be installed over the fluorescent lamp, and be lifted by means of a specially designed end cap so as to provide clearance between the fluorescent light bulb and the Lighting Filter. When in use, the Lighting Filter shall not generate a greater than 9 degrees F.; increase in the operating temperature of the fluorescent bulb when compared to an unfiltered lamp.

·        The Lighting Filter shall be comprised of an extruded translucent plastic sleeve, with specially designed end caps to provide durable and colorfast performance. This Lighting Filter provides a durable and safe means of installing or removing fluorescent light lamps, protecting all against the accidental breakage of a fluorescent lamp.

·        The Lighting Filter is designed to be re-usable whenever existing fluorescent lamps are to be replaced.

·        The Lighting Filter shall provide spectral light output which is consistent with the color balance found in natural sunlight. This allows for the greatest possible accuracy in color rendering.

·        The Lighting Filter shall increase the Kelvin temperature of the cool white fluorescent lamps from 4189K to >5000K.

·        The Lighting Filter shall be scotopically enhanced, so that the blue-green portion of visible light shall be greater than that found in typical fluorescent light. This, in turn, allows for greater visual acuity in reduced lighting schemes.

·        The Lighting Filter shall provide a reduction in veiled and specular reflection from any shiny surface in the workplace, such as computer displays. This increases the Visual Comfort Probability (VCP).

·        The Lighting Filter shall absorb 100% of harmful UVB radiation and >75% of the UVA radiation emitted by fluorescent bulbs.

Prismatic Panels

·        The Lighting Filter shall be used in conjunction with all fluorescent bulbs, which are installed in conventional fluorescent lighting fixtures that use prismatic panels.

·        The Lighting Filter shall be installed directly in the lighting fixture in the space provided for a prismatic panel.

·        The Lighting Filter shall be comprised of an extruded translucent plastic prismatic panel to provide durable and colorfast performance.

·        The Lighting Filter is designed to be re-usable whenever existing fluorescent lamps are to be replaced.

·        The Lighting Filter shall provide spectral light output which is consistent with the color balance found in natural sunlight. This allows for the greatest possible accuracy in color rendering.

·        The Lighting Filter shall increase the Kelvin temperature of the cool white fluorescent bulbs from 4189K to >5000K.

·        The Lighting Filter shall be scotopically enhanced, so that the blue-green portion of visible light shall be greater than that found in cool white fluorescent light. This, in turn, allows for greater visual acuity in reduced lighting schemes.

·        The Lighting Filter shall provide a reduction in veiled and specular reflection from any shiny surface in the workplace, such as computer displays. The Visual Comfort Probability (VCP) for a 30' X 30' X 10' room shall increase from a reading of 61 to a reading of 88.

·        The Lighting Filter shall absorb 100% of harmful UVB radiation (found to be carcinogenic) and >75% of the UVA radiation (a portion of which is necessary for human and plant development) emitted by fluorescent lamps.
